Oxygen Mox Regulator

(0 review)
The regulator has a factory preset fixed static outlet pressure of approx. 4.2 kg/Sq.cm (60lbs/sqin) and is fitted with safety valve. Once the flow rate has been set, the regulator will automatically maintain a constant flow rate irrespective of changing volume of cylinder contents. If the oxygen line distal to the regulator should be blocked, the regulator automatically prevents the build up of an excessive pressure in the apparatus and tubing between the outlet of the regulator and the obstruction. A pressure gauge indicates the cylinder contents. NITROUS OXIDE REGULATOR IS ALSO AVAILABLE

The Oxygen Mox Regulator is a medical gas pressure regulating device designed for controlled oxygen delivery in hospital, ambulance, and emergency care environments. Commonly used by respiratory therapists, anaesthesia teams, and critical care clinicians, the regulator enables stable oxygen flow management from compressed oxygen cylinders during patient transport and bedside respiratory support. This oxygen regulator is suitable for use in ICU, OT, and pre-hospital emergency settings where accurate gas pressure reduction and controlled flow delivery are clinically essential. Its compact configuration supports integration with standard oxygen therapy systems and cylinder-based respiratory care applications.

CLINICAL USE CONTEXT

The Oxygen Mox Regulator is routinely utilised in acute care settings where controlled oxygen administration is required from compressed gas cylinders. In emergency departments and ambulance services, paramedics use oxygen regulators to maintain stable oxygen delivery during patient transport and resuscitation procedures. Within ICU and OT environments, anaesthesiologists and respiratory therapists rely on regulated gas flow for oxygen supplementation, post-operative respiratory support, and patient stabilisation during critical care interventions. The device is also applicable in ward-based oxygen therapy where portable cylinder systems are required for patient mobility or temporary bedside respiratory management. Accurate pressure reduction and flow adjustment are clinically important in preventing inconsistent oxygen delivery during respiratory care procedures.

FAQ

1. What is the Oxygen Mox Regulator used for?

The Oxygen Mox Regulator is used to reduce and control high-pressure oxygen from medical oxygen cylinders for safe patient administration. It is commonly used during oxygen therapy, emergency respiratory support, and patient transport in hospital and ambulance settings.

2. Is this regulator compatible with standard medical oxygen cylinders?

The regulator is designed for use with compatible medical oxygen cylinder systems commonly used in healthcare facilities. Users should verify valve compatibility, connector type, and pressure specifications before clinical deployment.

3. Can the Oxygen Mox Regulator be used in ambulances and emergency care?

Yes, oxygen regulators are routinely used in ambulances and emergency response units where portable oxygen delivery is required. They assist clinicians and paramedics in maintaining controlled oxygen flow during patient transport and resuscitation procedures.

4. Does this product require sterilisation after use?

The regulator typically requires external cleaning and decontamination according to institutional biomedical equipment protocols. Full sterilisation procedures depend on the clinical environment and whether the regulator is exposed to patient-contact accessories or contaminated surfaces.

5. Who should operate this oxygen regulator?

The device should be operated by trained healthcare personnel familiar with medical gas delivery systems. Proper handling is important to ensure safe pressure regulation, leak prevention, and accurate oxygen administration during clinical use.

SAFETY DISCLAIMER

This product is intended for use by trained medical professionals and authorised healthcare personnel only. Users should verify compatibility with oxygen cylinders, tubing, and associated respiratory equipment before clinical use. Follow institutional cleaning, sterilisation, and biomedical equipment maintenance protocols at all times.
